YSA Swim Night

OK, so I decided to go to the YSA swim night-----not to swim, but for the entertainment :)

(Dad chose a DI suit and tie for the occasion.)

Of course I missed him jumping in the pool, so he got out and stood on his head to fall in again.  There were lots of laughs in the background.

Then he had to try out the slides.

Floyd took off his "suit" before Pres. Allen got there.  Then they both got pushed in the pool together.

That's the most time dad's been in the water in years!

Castle Mountain

Floyd and Tyler are going to build a castle on top of this mountain in Tyler's back yard.   They've been landscaping it for 2 years.  The waterfall isn't finished yet.

They needed a semi to bring in the cement blocks for the backside of the mountain for a climbing wall.

Finished!  (except they still need another block and the hand holds).  I can't wait to see it all done!

It's Time

 I haven't been able to get my little gold band off for years.  And now I can't get my wedding ring on.  Sunday was the last straw.  I forced my wedding ring on and it got stuck and my finger started turning red and purple and I knew I only had seconds to get it off.  So, today I went to have the band cut off and both of them resized.  I was hoping to have them back in a week.  No such luck.  The lady said I had to wait 3-6 weeks for the dent to go away so they could get an acurate measurement. 
My rings were a size 4, so I guess I'm lucky I made it this long before needing a bigger size :).

Bedroom Makeover

Floyd recently painted our bedroom and re-arranged the furniture----a little. 
This is how it looks now.  He still has to recover the window bench and the cornice above the window.  I'll post again when it's all done!

Papa's 80th Birthday Party

We celebrated papa's 80th birthday with a family party and dinner.  Here's a few more pictures besides the ones Char blogged.

The Slipper and the Rose

Floyd auditioned for a part in this musical last fall and got the part of Major Domo.  It's a fun twist on the Cinderella story.

Saturday night I had a date with Josh to see the play.  He was a handsome escort!

Happy Halloween

Since the 5th Monday fell on Halloween this year we had a FHE Halloween Party.  The theme was "come as a famous person/couple".  Here's Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip.

Roxanne and David came after I'd taken pictures and I didn't get them together.  They were characters from the Pickles comic strip.  I'm going to have to read it now to find out who they are!

The boys had fun loading the rubber band guns and shooting targets.
